All our courses are supported and certified by two of the worlds leading vehicle system manufacturers, Robert Bosch and Delphi Automotive and are regularly updated to keep pace with modern vehicle development.
On successful completion of a final exam, all our courses carry a manufacturer accredited certificate, our courses are also recognised by the IMI and can be used when working towards ATA or Bosch Technician accreditation.
The choice is yours, you can work towards Diagnostic or Master Technician status following the recommended programme, or simply pick the one subject area that is of interest to you. Some courses do require other courses as a pre-requisite, please see the course overview.
Our Trainers are all employed by us full time and attend regular update training from the major manufacturers. They also visit workshops to demonstrate and install the latest diagnostic equipment and in doing so they get the opportunity to work on many new vehicle systems, as well as getting to speak to technicians at the sharp end of the industry.
We offer training at a number of regional venues in the North East, Yorkshire, Humberside, Lancashire, East and West Midlands, Warwickshire and Southern England. We are constantly looking at new areas so please check website for the latest venues.
ATA is a voluntary assessment programme for technicians working in the Retail Motor Industry. It has the backing of major vehicle manufacturers, independent service and repair organisations and Automotive Skills, which is the Sector Skills Council for the Retail Motor Industry. ATA registered technicians sign and are bound by a special code of conduct. They are issued with a photo identity card, included on a dedicated website and there is publicity and point of sale material available. All our courses can be used when working towards ATA accreditation and we can arrange for ATA final assessments to be taken at the Bosch and Delphi training facilities.
Yes, as from 4th July 2010 it will be illegal for any person or persons, not qualified and certificated to the required standard, to either work on vehicle air conditioning systems or purchase refrigerant. The new DEFRA regulations stipulate that any person working on vehicle air conditioning systems must have a DEFRA approved refrigerant handler qualification. Our trainers are fully accredited assessors for ATA refrigerant handler and we are therefore able to offer an ATA accredited qualification which meets regulation EC307/2008 and lasts for five years. Please see the “News” section of our website for full details.
